Now that I have been here three weeks, the change is wonderful...I think I can even say perfect. There is more freedom, more independence, more...everything I have ever wanted in life. The grown-up that has always been inside me can finally be unleashed from the "kid" it was supposed to be. I can be mature or as immature as I like. Coloring Barbie coloring books with Crayons? Yeah, it happens. Whipping out board games and watching Disney channel? Yeah, that happens too. Don't even get me started on the discussions involving politics and religion and, you know, even some music construction. It is glorious to say my thoughts out loud and not worry what other people think.
And with that, I must leave. The high school kid in me still thinks getting up at 6 AM is cool...and the adult in me wants to get at least 6 hours of sleep. =]

I doubt I'll stick around dA, I've got a lot of other things going on lately, but I wanted to let you know that for the years I was "active" on here, you were always one of my favorite poets. And judging by your more recent pieces, you've only improved. Your work is raw, intricate, and compelling. I don't know you, not really, and probably never will. But as a fan to an artist: you rock. Take that for what it's worth.
Sounds like you're having fun and working hard and falling in love at college, so congrats on all counts! Have a nice life, and I look forward to your new offerings the next time I can't sleep.

Smiling to me, oh boy what can I do?
I just can say, "Salaam!"
